BY REGULATION

I.  NAME, PURPOSE, FUNCTION:

1. Name:  BY Group of TDT University.

              Full name: Believe in Yourself Group of Ton Duc Thang University.

2. Purpose of establishment:

-    Create an English environment for students, who want to strengthen and improve their English communications.

-    With BY’s activities, BY want attendees to get essential skills, learn experiences from good English learners.

-    Help attendees being more confident while communicating English to foreigners through our experienced friends, tour guide...

-    Create a place for sharing learning methods; Training all four English skills for those who want to use English as their second mother language to communicate.

-    Create a forum for Tôn Đức Thắng’s students and attract more participants.

3.  Function:

-    Operate an area of studying and training English.

-    Organize activities of studying, training and improving English. Creating useful environment for sharing things and music performances.

-    Establish a place for students who want to train their English and Soft skills by Group’s activities.

II. ACTIVITIES OF THE ENGLISH GROUP:

1. The operating principles of BY Group:

-    BY’s operation is based on the voluntary participation of members and collaborators by BY’s recruitment

-    Group always promotes democracy in the operation and management.

-    BY Group only operate under the instruction and the management of the Group’s Executive Board and Ton Duc Thang’s University. (Anyone in BY Management Group who against this rule will be banned).

-    Activities of BY are based on the contents which are contributed by BY’s Management and Team Functions. The content of activities selected are relied on several criteria:

-         The topics should be close to students’ life, attract a large number of participants.

-         Promote the movement of English learning for attendees.

-         The contents should be fun, attractive and lively.

-         There must be no negative impact on habits and customs, morality, ideology and lifestyle of students.

-         There must be no content that distorts and breaks the law, national security and religious activities.

-         Always encourage new ideas for the complement of operating form.

2. Operating form of BY Group:

-    Organize and maintain periodic group’s activities which are planned.

-    Through BY Group’s email address, Facebook account, attendees can share any information, questions relating to the operation of BY Group, or questions about English learning, there will be reponses and answers replied by BY Group to attendees’ needs.

III. ORGANIZE AND MANAGE GROUP

BY Groupare organized and managed by Management Board including Executive Board and Sub- Executive Board. Executive Board manages all BY Group’s Team.

1. Management Board: 

-    Include people whose responsibilities and operating BY Group's activities.

-    Include Executive Board and Sub-Executive Board.

2. The Sub-Executive Board:

-    The Sub-Executive Board was established based on candidates which are chosen by Management Board recruitment to manage the activities of Group easily and conveniently. These teams operate under the regulations and plans of BY Group. Each group has its leader. Team Leader’s response is to manage team’s members and guide their group activities, and also the connection between their group with Excutive Board. Team members’ mission is to together speed up team’s activities in particular and BY Group’s activities in general

IV. ATTENDEES OF THE GROUP AND THE REGULATIONS OF ATTENDEES:

1. Attendees of BY Group:

-    All students studying at Ton Duc Thang University want to improve and train English skills.

-    Approve the regulations of BY Group

2. Enrollment and out of the Group:

             2.1.      Enrollment:

-    Register via your email with the available registration form.

             2.2.         Out of BY Group:

-   Ifattendees want to be out of BY Group, they must ask the Excutive Board and be accepted.

-   Attendees do not have good sense of participation, have expressed anti, individualism, self-seeking individuals or minority groups will be expelled from BY Group.

-   The Executive Boards decide the procedures for applying and expelling from BY Group4.3.

             2.3.         Interests when joining BY Group:

-    Participating in BY Group’s official activities

-    Being assisted with difficulties in English learning process.

-    Having chance to improve and strengthen English skills while working in an English environment.

-    Having chance to improve social skills like teamwork skill, communication skill, building self-image, and also other skills that help strengthen academic knowledge like PR skills, IT skills, etc.

-    Having the right to bring out advice and build up the Group.

             2.4.         Obligations for Attendees

-   Execute seriously all the regulations that the Group has offered.

-    Be active and voluntary to take part in the Group’s activities.

-    Be self-motivated and creative to contribute your opinions in any sides about the Group. So that BY can really be a useful playing field for TDT students.

-    Participate in every registered activity on time and feel confident to talk.

V. REWARDS AND DISCIPLINE:

-    The Management Board and Attendees contribute positively to BY Group and be recorded during BY Group activities will be rewarded.

-    The Attendees violated regulations, depend on the seriously level will be disciplined by BY Group.

-    The reward and discipline decisions for attendees will be adopted by Management Board

-    The implementation of the reward and discipline decision must be publicly for all attendees of the Group.

VI. PERFORMING ORGANIZATION :

1. Scope of regulation:

-    Regulation can be adjusted base on the actual activities situation of the BY Group

2. Effect of Regulation:

-    Regulation has its effect from the date of adoption of all Management Board.

-    Regulation expires when the Group disbanded activities or be replaced by a new Regulation.
